Efinity Development Update (20/12/22)

What is Efinity?

The cross-chain NFT highway, Efinity is a parachain built on the Polkadot ecosystem. It enables designers, game developers, artists, and others to supercharge their projects or apps on Efinity at a low cost while being completely scalable.

Hi everyone! There have been a few exciting developments on Efinity, including improvements to some of the core general features of the parachain as well as enhancements to the XCM aspect of the blockchain, which we will discuss here:

XCM

• Usability wrappers over Efinity XCM implementation - make transfers easier as wrappers provide an abstraction for sending XCM messages between chains. Using usability wrappers makes crafting Efinity messages easier and more specific to Efinity.
• USDT Tokens are now functioning normally and can be transferred between Statemint and Efinity on the local testnet! USDT is one of the Polkadot network's only active stablecoins. Since Efinity now integrates USDT with Statemint, we can expect it to be used in the Efinity NFT marketplace or elsewhere where stablecoins are useful in the future. • Each native asset on Efinity now has a deterministic XCM MultiLocation. This allows every native asset on Efinity to be identified and sent to other chains in the Polkadot Ecosystem.
• Quality of Life improvements!

MultiTokens

• The ContinueOnFailure feature has been temporarily disabled for a tweak; it will be enabled again after the 3.1.1 update.
• Quality of Life improvements, as well as updates in the documentation related to the MultiTokens pallet.
